A new 19,432 sq ft ALDI is set to anchor The Crossroads shopping center at 2301 W. Sample Road—on the Pompano/Deerfield Beach border. The store replaces a former 25,000 sq ft commercial building that housed a mix of offices and retail shops and was demolished as part of the plaza’s redevelopment
Originally slated to open in June 2024, the project is part of a larger makeover led by Pathway Ventures, Ltd. The new neighborhood center totals approximately 77,000 sq ft of retail and medical office space, and will include high-traffic tenants like WaWa, Wendy’s, La Colonia Medical Center—and soon, ALDI
Strategically located across from Costco and CarMax, on one of Broward County’s busiest intersections (over 200,000 vehicles daily), the center offers strong visibility and easy access. Additional outparcels, offices, and restaurant pads remain available for lease.
What used to be there?
Previously, the site hosted a mid‑sized multi‑tenant commercial building—housing local offices and small retailers—that was razed in late 2023 to make way for the new ALDI and its supporting retail complex.
