BSO confirmed that deputies responded to Crystal Lake after the school received a report of a potential threat earlier in the morning. As is standard procedure, the campus was placed on lockdown, deputies swept the school grounds, and the lockdown was cleared once the situation was determined to be safe. The Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) communications team notified parents through the district’s text alert system as the situation unfolded.
